Wordpress 2.5.1 is a fucking joke!

I'm finally trying out WP 2.5.1 and what a pile of fucking shit, its nowhere as easy to use as previous versions and the widgets thngy is now impossible to use, every time i try to add a RSS or text widget and then press edit, they disappear! Fucking useless!

Actually I love the new version, much more quicker.

Rogue... you have to save twice kinda...

open the widget - edit it and hit change to close the box
then... click save changes under all the widget boxes

Yeah, the new wordpress looks like a cool web2 tool, but I think the older version is much better.

I've only just updated one wordpress blog (thought I might get back into blogging) and it's an improvement on the old system.

I don't use any widgets, addons or themes though

I love it ASIDE from the widgets control panel, they took a BIG step back with that one

the plugin "lighter menus" is fucking cool as shit, makes all your wordpress menus as dhtml drop downs

i like the newer version more once i got use to it
however there is a bug with the add media popup when i go to write a new post which is annoying and its hard to find stuff in the admin area to start with

I like 2.3 better also. 2.5 has been giving me problems in uploading images. This is a known problem for many users, but I understand that it works for many people too.

2.5.1 was a necessary update as it addressed a critical PHP exploit with all previous versions that allowed remote access to your site(s).

I bet if you had some 2.3 or 2.5 sites get hacked (defaced/tagged), but the sites you had upgraded were left intact, you may have a different view about 2.5.1

Personally I will take security over simplicity ... but what do I know?

I ended up installing the no-flash plugin and am now able to insert photos in my posts again!

I like the new version, but something is wrong with widgets. For example I add text widget and then add rss widget, then happens something wrong with the layout. The first widget I added goes somewhere, sometimes to the top, sometimes to the bottom. I will try this with IE, because until now I was using only firefox.
