Getting Traffic to feeder blogs? or splogs

Hello guys i did setup some splogs using twans gallery2blog and plan to use them as my one way link source for my main sites.. But i wonder if how we could get traffic to them also? as i know someone here does earn through them.. Any tips guys?

Blog directories are good source at start, latter they will get little SE traffic

I'd also recommend using toplists for steady traffic but choose the toplists you sign up to wisely!

So Blog Directories help in what way? Just to get your links spidered more quickly? If you have 1 established blog that get's spidered regularly would putting up a link to a new splog provide the same as a directory submission? Doesn't just using ping get your site indexed as well?

I'm really starting to feel like directories are a quick fix for the impatient (like myself). If you didn't use a blog directories what would the results be for splogs? Hopefully this is related enough to the OP to just add here.

Actually directories can help in many ways. Getting your site indexed quicker is just one of the ways.

You get a backlink which is always nice, but thats not an important factor of directories. The majority of directories will send you traffic an initial boost and good directories will keep sending you some traffic over time.

Directories that count incoming hits will constantly give you page 1 listing if you send in hits, so having a reciprocal in a decent place can get you lots of hits from a directory.

Many directories have ping, so Google and other search engines are made aware of sites, updates etc.

Good idea pixie! I do this quite alot and should do it alot more because it's still "fairly good" traffic

Apart from that there are loads of other sources you can use to get traffic to your site:

- surfer forums
- linkdumps
- social bookmark sites
- feedlists
- picposts
- tubes where you can post links
- et cetera

and not to forget, linktrades.

The toplists will be aggregated by the traffic you are generating from linktrades, surfer forums and other sources.

this is all nice tips.. But this sites i am referring to are splogs.. If you got a lot of it i think its impossible to submit all of them one by one to directories? Is there any tool? that make this process faster?
