Gallery plugin or WP

Does anyone know a good gallery plugin for WP? Currently I am useing nextgen admin, but am having trouble with it only showing 4 pics. I am hoping to have more pics on the blog page. This is hosted on my own URL, i should have the right amount of space. the nextgen does say that it holds 100megs. SO I think that I need a new plugin.
Anyone?

I like the gallery feature built into WP 2.5.1 myself. It automatically generates a page for each fullsize picture meaning more room for adverts. It uses the pic name as the page slug.

hmmmm I am not sure that I have it. This is my first page and first time messing around with WP, guess i will have to look around a bit more

Do you have the most recent version of WP installed,it says the version number on the dashboard of the admin panel. Here's a link with a video tutorial explaining how to use the built gallery feature if you have it.

Very nice! I got it from the link! Are you using them right on your main page? I set mine up with a banner link at the bottom of the set.

yup not working for me, my bad. i think its the theme that I downloaded and am using. will have to play more with it tmrw. thanks for the help

Here is a posts that I did with the WP gallery feature. You can see that by making a post with 3 pics/thumbs it actually gave me 4 pages to advertise.

You can put your usual ad at the bottom of the post then you can put html code in the description of the pics thru the media library. Make sure you name you pictures descriptively cuz thats what WP uses to name the fullsize picture pages. Hope this helps

So, what exatly to tweak if I want to place some banners on the pictures page? I'm talking about enlarged images on the pages.

If you are refering to the built in WP gallery feature then under Setting=>Miscellaneous you can set what size you want thumbs and full size images. As far as adding banners to the picture page that appears when a thumb is clicked then you just put your HTML in the description or even the caption when you edit media properties in Manage=>Media Library

have you check out Gallery Builder and Maker Wordpress Plugin - UUGallery yet? UUgallery makes some sick galleries. and has a remote fhg grabber which makes building galleries SUPER fast...

How are you adding the links to the photos? I finally figured out adding pics (LOL) but now I dont have a way to get them when clicked to go to the sign up page.

A alternative approach could be to do everything on your computer and don't worry about uploading.
You can do that with a external editor, for example Blog Post Builder .

I don't have the pics themselves linked ot the sponsor, I just put HTML code for banners or sponsor links in the description section when I edit pics in the Media Library. I might eventually try tweaking the WP code to make the pics link ot sponsor but for now I'm happy with how it works out of the box.

Thanks Brad, I did figure out how to add links to pics, but I am just linking to banners right now, reminding the readers to click the banners to go to the sponsors Getting the whole wordpress thing down, i think. Then they will go change something and I'm screwed! lol

WordPress › Post Templates « WordPress Plugins thought id share. its a plug in you can use to create individual post templates as well as page templates

and if anyone can figure out how to use this thing where your template only shows when the permalink is clicked , well that would just ROCK! - but this would come in handy with page templates going from sponsor to sponser
