first off I don't know shit so ............
After over 11 years trying to make money on the internet on the Adult side (the first 4 years very profitable) I have reached the point where all this shit seems so shit all stupid. anyway to make a short story longer ...........
I have slowly stopped doing most everything with making a profit in mind because since I am not willing anymore to invest the time and money to keep up with what it really takes to just break even. BUT all these years online have developed habits that are hard to break. Coming to a webmaster board to shit talk is not enough to feed the habit and quite pointless anyway.

Now I just blog and not for profit but rather as a personal release. I built a blog for every mood I have and post as the moods strike. kind of a therapy I guess. When something chapped my ass that day I write about it on my "pissed off blog" and so on ( ya my pissed off blog has the most entries) Than I have one which is a "memories blog" of the 70-80's , My generation which is great from walks down memory lane. One blog is on " Life,love and Sex after 40" and covers all the bullshit that comes along at that point in life, divorce, realization that the bald spot on the back of your head is not going away. and so on...well anyway..........
I know 99% of the people give a fat rats ass about anything but what strikes their fancy at the moment, thats the beauty of the internet, It's all about Us , what WE want. Knowing this I started writing what I felt for real and not what I thought would sell. Once I put the thought of profit behind me It put the fun back into the internet thing.
well anyway since most of You didn't read this far anyway for the lack of pictures............

Now I do it for ME and what are the results you ask ,OK so You didn't ask..... I use sponsors that I enjoy, that I make purchases from example..... A pay per view sponsor, Sex toys and lingerie, Viagra and I use clickbank and Commision junction for variety as I need it. I don't follow stats anymore and give a shit less about numbers. It's all about what I enjoy at the moment and whjat did i come to realize? That I am not alone in how I feel, I am not unique in my moods. The over 40 site is the best .... there are a shit load of people who are over 40 and just divorced or don't know how to date anymore or whatever crap life throws at them and I found they can relate to my posts. many people get mad at the same shit I do ,many are scared to share it out of fear of being politically incorrect or some other horse shit society piles on them. They like knowing I am as fucked up, angry,horny or happy as thery often are.
anyway this all equates to sponsors converting from 1-16 to 1-160, even the small numbers bring in a decent profit ( more than hours of gallery building or linking did after 2001) and most important I, ME enjoy it again.
what did I learn from this ? not a fucking thing I wanted to other than if the fun is gone it's just a job !! my advice decide if you want to build a business or just enjoy ...... for a business STOP with all the FREE shit, take it serious and build it.... if ya want to have fun, start doing what You want and trust Me the people on this big fucking gone to shit internet who need to belong to something will bond to your ideas......... but than again what the fuck do I know????????????

I have a good 'real job' offline and the retirement cannot be beat! Once that job started I changed the way I did alot of things. I am not as concerned with getting the 'right' money maker I am trying what I want to try and see how it goes. You are offering some good advice there.

No there is money in porn or there would not be any anymore. My point is unless you are willing to do whatever it takes to reach YOUR level of success in the field at least do what You enjoy. don't just to do, all that does is leave more clutter and corpses of those with dead pipe dreams to fuck it up for those willing............

I started blogging back in 2005 or so. I wanted to see if the company I was working for at the time was missing anything, and my boss wasn't interested. I gave it a shot and discovered that I enjoyed it a lot, and it provided me with some beer money. I posted just for the fun of it, and the more I posted and the more I played with my blog the more money I made. I put up a redesign and re-doubled my effort, and now my blog is nearly paying my house payment.

I post to it ever day in advance, and during the day when I come across stuff I find interesting I throw it up there. It's a cross between solo girls, odd stuff I come across, celebs, and my life as a pornographer.

Since then I've opened up nearly 100 other blogs and I'm making money with those too.

But the truth is you have to enjoy what your doing. The peeps who made good money back in the day did it because they enjoyed it, not because they wanted to make money.
