Tell me if doing this is a mistake..
So i bought a nice domain.. now i want to cut this teen niche down into say hair colour..
Could i create something like blondes.domain.com brunettes.domain.com and have each blog addressing those niches? __________________

The name of a subdomain doesn't matter much, you could even call them 1.mydomain.com and 2.mydomain.com , but to remember logical subdomains are better

Well what im looking to do is to create my main domain (domain.com) as a main blog.. and have say "trannies.domain" and "teenies.domain" (which i will post on manually) feed through to the "main" blog... so really my niche domains are driving my main domain

So you setup your blonde.domain.com, brunette.domain.com, etc. and you post to them and work them as normal. Each one of these blogs will create a RSS Feed. On you root, domain.com, you install wordpress and a selected RSS aggregator plug-in like WP-o-Matic. Edit the index.php and replace "the_post()" with "the_excerpt()". Add your feeds to wp-o-matic and set it up to link directly to the original post. Now you have a more general blog which will make it much easier to do relevant link trading and you'll be providing important one way back links to all of your xxx.domain.com blogs. Basically, your building a hub for your blogs. |

is there a way of doing this on wordpress MU - I tried uploadin a new theme just for the main blog with "the_excerpt()" in and the page just loops loading a single post billions of times.

So have niche1.domain.com niche2.domain.com setup with regular WP.. create a RSS Feed.. that feeds into domain.com
Is something like that hard to setup.. and is it possible by css or so.. for each blog to have like an array of headers that interchange on refresh of the page? __________________

Is there much difference in putting each in it's own category in a single install of wordpress (say domain.com/ass, domain.com/tits) compared to a separate install of wordpress and subdomain for each? (like ass.domain.com, tits.domain.com)
