Am I Doing Something Wrong?
Or am I just being impatient?
My blog went live August 1st of 2008 and currently has 9 blog posts. For the month of August I got 1,656 views to my blog... with some of it being se traffic. Mainly msn though.. but I do have some google and yahoo. No sales yet. I know it's been only a month... but I seriously would of thought I would of had at least one sale by now. Is there anything I'm doing wrong or I could improve on?? I'm confused at this point... :-( http://www.hairybeaverporn.com |

Yup - I'd have to agree with Ben. Check with your sponsors and see how many people are click your ads. My guess would be only about 10% so not likely close to a sale yet.

The first time is always the most difficult for a new site.
I would suggest you keep on blogging and get yourself some good quality incoming links, that should do the trick  __________________

Ok I'll pop my surfer head on...
I know nothing much about the niche - however it looks like a very "serious" blog... As in swathes of text - nice pics admitedly - but very very heavy on text... That's great for the niche purists - and of course for the SE's - but try to get a bit more salesy / punchy  You might need to really shepherd the surfers as to where you want them to go - you really do have to lead 'em by the dick lol... Make at least two even three links to the sponsor - make that text STAND OUT more  Most old timers know your sidebars are where the real action is - so get some pics of the day nice banners - text links to galleries - and do BUILD PAGES - in your case micro niche (red pubes/teen pubes hell even green pubes- that expands your blog and the big G seems to like them... As Ben said your numbers are not really high enough to judge peformance yet - look at getting some niche traffic - be it trades or directories - hell even toplists Niche is good but learning how to utilise what traffic you get will be based on what your surfers are doing... Study your stats particularly key words that brought them there and give 'em what they want "exactly"... And remember blogging is a marathon not a sprint - and these days the market place is crowded... Persevere build and push on... Good luck and nice blog - a sale must surely come soon (law of averages lol)  __________________

1 month = 9 posts? What interval are you posting at? I'd say offhand the blog is simply too new and too small to be doing much of anything yet. With so many "10 posts and forget" splog networks out there, I wouldn't be surprised if Google isn't adjusting how short blogs get ranked.

Flip has some pretty good advice. Follow some of it. WP has gallery plug-ins which make creating galleries as pages a piece of cake. Be sure to add some text to your galleries so that the SE's have something to index.
More posts, Ana''s right you need more. Personally I've always believed that you should post at least 5 times a week for the first year. A pain in the ass I know but if you write a bunch at a time and schedule them it's not as bad as it sounds. CTR - click through rate, what is yours. In other words, what percentage of those visitors actually made it to your sponsors. If they are not clicking through to your sponsors, your not going to make sales. I usually try to work between 12-15%. Which means that out of every 1000 visits I want 150 clicks to my sponsors. Patience and perseverance, it took me 6 months to get my first sale on my first blog. |

you need to make a new blog each day and try to push out 20 to 30 blog posts everyday. Be sure you are submitting to a nice number of directories everyday as well.

you have ONE blog only? you have less than 2000 visits to the one blog? and you are wondering why no sales yet?
you have a lot to learn i have 130 plus blogs took me about 3 months to see my first sale. I send about 2000 hits a WEEK to my main sponsor, which is probably about 40,000 hits a week to my blogs now i see about 10 to 15 sales per week you need a lot more traffic a lot more blogs and to be patient |

Maxbanner Ads great plugin to help you get things rolling. You can put the banners in posts on the side bar and it even rotates the banners for you. Check out my blog/site and see what I mean. Sensden your source for Amateur BBW Mature and more porn The plugin is easy and free to use but if you want the little powered by removed you have to pay for it. BTW the side bar out does the in post by 100% meaning if i got 50 clicks from the in the post I get 100 clicks on the banners in the side bar. __________________

You've hardly even done much, rather you should make at least 10 blogs like this, and sales will roll in sooner or later. This worked for me and should work for you as well
It is entirely possible to reach $1k/month in just 6-8 months, but you need at bare minimum 10 well-managed blogs. Better make more. They don't all have to be handwritten, make some splogs as well, just make sure they are SEO'd well and look pretty. Also try at least 2-3 niches you like, to find out what works for you. If she is going for quality SE traffic with handwritten posts then advising her to build a bunch of splogs isn't helping her.
