destroy my best blog does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix it. I updated my wordpress on the site and when I click the link to do the upgrade it sends me to the login page. it did not recognize my password. so I had new one sent to me. did this like 5-10 times last night and it wouldn't recognize them at all and now I cant get in to do nothing.
I downloaded this php page that is supposed to allow you to do this by calling the page and entering in your new password, but unfortunately it don't work with the newest wordpress.

Sorry for my bad English, do you want to update your password? If I'm not wrong please read on.

WP changed their password encryption method in their new versions, now they use not MD5 but this one:
Portable PHP password hashing framework

Copy these code below into a .php file, no matter what name it is, and edit the two lines with your username and password, then upload it to your root dir of wp, then open the file with your browser, done.

I had this same problem with one of my blogs....

Then I tried to access through FireFox after following the info in the article below and can get in. Still cannot access through IE on this one blog.

Here is an article about the upgrade problems, along with a some fixes. WP, love it and hate it!

nooo, dont kill your blog, I have solution for you
you can change your wp pass really easy if you have MySQL access, I cant post here link with instructions in public (it is other board)
also, there is some other possibility, you need to clean cookies, cash.... all stuff from your browser.

I do have access to mysql. I seen something about that on the wordpress site ill have to go digging

Dont destroy it depending on where it is hosted why not pull the database apart so that it can be used in the future.... if you want to hit me up on PM I can see what I can do for you to save the database....

I got a pm from a fella in this thread about how to do the php admin, when I do that ill post if it worked I had to get some sleep between shifts
