Just some FYI ..................

Is your email contact information current at your Registrars(s)?
Can your Registrar send you email?
Is the Registrars email address "white listed" in your spam filters?

There are many posts on various forums about "my registrar stole my domain" or "I lost my domain name". Or something like "my website is down, my stupid registrar let my domain expire, now they want $200 to redeem it".

99 times out of 100 that happens because the registrar couldn't contact the domain owner. That puts you at risk at renewal time. It's the domain owners responsibility to update their contact info and maintain a clear path of communication. If your email fails after multiple attempts it's not the registrars responsibility to "play detective" to find you.

This is something that I repeat at regular intervals, but people still seem to forget to do it. The email address is important for transfers as well, so make sure you check the address before you start a transfer.

Remember that your domain name is the shop that brings you in your income. Even if you have a correct email address, it's worth checking for expiring names at least once a month, and always renew at least a month before the actual expiry date. Many people think that an early renewal helps you with the search engines, as well as making sure that you don't lose your name.
