Hi, spill the beans then, tell us a success story whereby you bought a domain as a speculative purchase and managed to sell it, even if you only made $5!

What was the domain, were you surprised, did it give you the domain flipping bug?

lol the only few domains I've sold were for their registeration fees.

The only one I've ever sold on was daethlyhallows.com (misspell of the new Harry Potter book). I bought it for $7 and sold it for $75 about 6 months later.

Not mega bucks but a ten fold profit

I've doubled or tripled my money on 10 or 20 domains, but it's not really something that interests me. I just sell them when I can't use them and usually get a decent price for them.

I bought stoopidnews.com for reg fee, developed it as a humor blog and sold it after a year or two for $300.

Now it just goes to parking

Anytime I've tried to promote my domains for good $$$ .. it's never worked. However it has happened on occasion that the ones I think won't get any interest suddenly do and a sale happens.

I sold MyNaughty.com a few years ago for $350 .. name only.

I've sold a few others in the xxx range, and a few last year for close to $100.

I sold Advisible.com for $500 (name and design)

I've had some luck I guess but it's always been just that ... luck. Never when I'm actively promoted.

Now its time to move some more good ones that I am doing nothing with.
