when you buy domains...

do you only buy it for one year, then renew it after that? or, do you buy it for 5-10 years because you realise you're in it for the long haul?

if you only buy one year at a time, then why?

I buy it for 1 year always, just not to spend too much money on domains in one time

all domain i have bought so far is at first 1 year. and then if i make some money then for an extra 1-5 years. and i am planing to register a domain for 10 years now. because i know it will work.

if im not sure yet what to do with it probably only one year as soon as a site goes up at least 3 to 5 years (better for google, so they s say)

I've only ever reg'd them for one year and renew them yearly. Does google really love domains that are reg'd for long periods of time?
