Something I noticed... a little tip

I listed some domains on sedo recently, just wanna get the hang of this stuff really, and I had the domains as 'make offer'. Some of the domains surprised me with the traffic i was getting, and I got a few clicks on their ads etc.

But, I only got 1 click through to an offer, and I think that was me!

So I changed all the 'make offers' into dollar amounts fixed prices, and guess what? The click throughs to the offer went up tenfold!

It's a while since I looked at my Sedo account, but I seem to remember that they had a minimum offer option. That would cut out the lowball offers, and still leave you with room to negotiate.

Thanks for the tip. I had actually been wondering if that made any difference. I think the "make offer" is SO vague that somebody might feel uncomfortable making an offer, having NO idea what the seller expects.

"make offer" usually means "all I can possibly get"

Seems like "make an offer" is sort of like russian roulette. There's a small chance you'll get the outcome you're looking for, otherwise you have to reconsider your position and try again

Make offer is vague, if you set a dollar figure you're also making a statement "this domain is worth so much"
