I heard that Verisign is increasing the price of .com and .net extensions that will affect new registrations,renewals and transfers. Will this affect all domain registration companies, or just ones that use verisign or sort of?

Verisign is the registry, so it will affect all .com and .net names. We've had a couple of threads about it in here, and it starts next month.

It's part of the ICANN capitulation to the legal extortion of Verisign, and I think Verisign should have lost the rights to run the registry as a result. Instead, they were given permission to run a series of annual increases over the next few years.

Yup, they were granted 4 - 7% increases in the next 6 years. That will push Registrar buy rates for .COMs to $6.42 then $6.87 then $7.35 then $7.86

I think Project Titan should stand as a lesson to us all. The global economy and market place is moving at such an accelerated pace it's nearly impossible to grasp the scope of it and where things will be in just a matter of months.

It seems like much of the adult industry is so entrenched in "yesterday" it could easily be displaced.
