I go with sedo. Prolly not the best option but thats what I have been using.

Sedo is great for a lot of things. I think the PPC earnings have fallen to an unacceptable level for adult domains though.

That's just my opinion with my particular dn's though.

Yeah I'm open to other options myself, but others I have tried, my domains don't seem good enough for them. I really just use Sedo to make a few pennies while I get around to building a site for the domain.

i never leave an unused domain without something
yes sedo is an option but they don't optimize for adult pages
so rankings for keywords are low and obviously clicks are the same
i found mainly web masters were hitting adult parked pages

so now i park them on my own server
slap up a page with a banner and a nice text link
add some key worded text and a little content
maybe a key worded pic or two
optimize the header tags

and let it sit there
if anything it gets through the sandbox before i build
it might get a nice listing also
traffic starts flowing in the right direction
and a sale or two drop in from time to time

in a way the domain is half prepared for what its going to promote
and you won't get that by parking them with others as most if not all don't do adult
or at least not optimized as they should be

True. A single SEO'd page as you described or an SEO'd mini-site is a good way to get a jump start for a dn you're going to develop.

I use 3 that all have reasonably good customizing options.

One doesn't pay squat but I use them for a few days until I make a firm decision. I use them for junk names long-term also.

One simply pays more.
2 to 10 times more, which ain't no laffin' matter!
BUT, they can't cover many niches.

One pays well, pays on multiple clicks from 1 unique, and allows paid traffic.
BUT, their primary can't cover certain niches.

I usually season a domain for a few weeks like @zrael mentioned.
Not always though. UKcocks.com is a good example.
It's a new reg (Sep 14) that's getting some immediate traffic.

im not talking mini sites style 4 page free sites/portal/hub
just one page with links out to a sponsor as a parked domain is just one page
do you get the same results building your own linking to the sponsor ?

Hands down, in the end, as far as ROI and time, parking. Maybe I misunderstood your question. I took it to mean park (at a conventional parking co) or develop?

To quantify that opinion you need to know which parking company for which domain name to use.

BUT, some seasoning (pre-conditioning) using your methods are a must for 99% of the new reg dn's IMO. Always.

Dropped names are cool too, 'cause of the backlinks and previously indexed pages. I've bought some blacklisted names by accident also.

Just my opinions @zrael, it works for me though.
Personally I'd rather own 1000 dn's that triple reg fee using PPC parking than own one website that requires constant maintenance. Sponsors that fold, dupe content, sponsors that shave, etc. I'm talking about adult and mainstream both. Actually mainstream is much worse that adult in my experience as far as getting f*cked by a sponsor.

Head Boy constantly alludes to parking for profit. I never see much response to it though. Maybe it's all by PM but I never see much board chatter about it.

I have couple parked at Namedrive, average click value for adult names was 8 cents last time I checked. Its good when I have unused domain

For mainstream I prefer my own pages thru one of my reseller accounts.
It pays me 90% right off the top so it's hard to beat. Paid monthly by direct deposit or check. Everything is 1st page.

I think DJ uses CashParking offered by GD. It costs $4 to $10 per month for a return of 60% to 80% of the PPC revenue. BUT, if you buy a reseller contract you get 90% of the revenue on parked domains. Not only on your domains but on everybody else who regs or transfers a domain to you.
