who the fuck is ENOM INC

every time i look for a name i get ENOM INC in the results of whois
yet there isn't anything on the net just the usual can't find crap
so no domains,server with no site,redirects or even a parked page

so who are they ?
what do they do ?
and most of all how do they make $$$ ?

are they just out there to piss everyone off when they go on a domain hunt ?
i just can't see the point of having a domain with nothing there not even a "oups site not built yet"

enom is one of the largest registrars, and they have a massive reseller programme. For example namecheap is not a registrar, it's an enom reseller, and so was registerfly until they decided to go it alone and screwed up.

They're extremely expensive if you register with them directly, but some of their resellers offer quite good deals. Of course they own a bunch of domain related businesses, and you may be seeing some of their stuff.

I think their 1000's of resellers aren't putting up parking pages. I dunno?

Names get taken out of the zone, or grabbed by registrars (or the registry) for all sorts of reasons. Here's a nameview one CockBlog.com - I thought that might be useful.
