If .com is not available?

If you find a good domain name and .com isnt available but .org and .net are are those good ones to register? and if so which is more popular .net or .org?

i think if you can't get the .com then .net would be the next choice
but you will always lose trafic to the .com

I have a whole list of names that I like but some of my favorites are .net and .org should I go for those or stick with the .coms that I also like?

myself i would stick with the .com's and only get a .net if i own the .com
and wanted to block any competition

like lilpixie i would go for a .co.uk but only if its a uk themed site
as that would be the targeted traffic

If I can't get the .com personally I just think of another name but you still have the option of .net or .org when the .com isn't being marketed

I have a few sites that do very well using the .biz I prefer .biz over the .net and don't look at what you might lose to a .com if that is registered first, look at what you can gain

I went with pinkyslinks.com and hardtrannyporn.com hosting is with facialfreak, who is a great guy, I talked with him for a good while today and he is very friendly and very accommodating. I registered pinkyslinks a couple of weeks ago with ipowerweb and now today I can't log in to point the domain to a1webhosting.com. ipowerweb is moving some stuff around, I'm told by the automated responder, and I'll be able to login sometime in the near future. I hope!!! <--dicks. I read a little and I've decided I'm going to try to be like Globofun and not make any money with shemales!
