Domain selling process

So I'm considering entering the buying-and-selling domain game

What is the process to sell a domain you've registered with GoDaddy?

I would register to a forum like dnforum or namepros. There are a few guides on there on how to buy/sell domains.

The basic process though:

1) Buy domains you think have value (usually keyword/dictionary/shortwords)
2) Put them up for sale for a higher price.
3) Buying domains that havent been registered before with good keywords for $9 then selling them on for $50 is a good start.

be able to squeeze a little more out of each deal by
paying less in the first place.

Someone may correct me if I am wrong but I believe you cannot make changes to the resgistration (as in change ownership) until 6 months after purchase? Again I am sure I read this somewhere so please check before taking it is fact.

I have sold many names within 24 hours of registration.

You may be getting confused with the 60 day rule for when
you move the name to a different registrar.

You are talking about pushing to another registrar. And I believe its not 6, but 3 months. If you push to same registrar there is no such period

ICANN rules state a 60 day lock on a Registrar to Registrar transfer. On a "push", (that's an account transfer within the same Registrar), it can be immediate. Most, but not all, allow an immediate "push". Registrars can set their own holding period for an internal account change (push).

Thanks for the pointers, that makes things a lot easier for an idea I am hoping to go with next year... On a personal note, I do not like Godaddy, I use them but they make the pushing of a domain more complex than it needs to be (in my opinion)... I don't think you can beat Namecheap.com for all round service...
