I post these articles because it shows how people are jumping onto the domain name bandwagon. It's interesting to see what they are buying, and how the emphasis is expanding. I'm starting to see 3 and 4 word phrases appearing in TV ads, as well as the creative use of names like confused.com.

I got in the domain biz couple of months before the 4 letter domains skyrocketed, the same domains average price is 100.00 , and the one I wont sell for while is worth around 1k...demand is high for quailty letter domains.

I've been picking them up for around 4 years and have a few I hold and
don't try to sell as the TLDs mean less all the time. One is YOU.gs which
I'll probably hold for the next 5 years.
I also have around 200 LLLL coms which I could buy for 15 bucks each a year ago and now
even in the DNforum they're going for hundreds and even

Domains are good real estate. I can see within the next 10+ years many short domains being very valuable.

I love buying domain names...I cannot seem to get enough of them. Although I have to admit that I don't like the short 4-letter domains at all...I like mine with more description, ie. videoppp.com or sexpayperplay.com.

Gives you a step-up on the branding process with these types of domains...

Domaining is a cut-throat business. I'm a member of the main boards and I buy/sell there but the community atmosphere is anything but kind. Kinda dog eat dog, but hey there is a lot of money to make. I only own 300+ but that's 200 more than I need LOL.

Most of the names used for branding aren't long nor words.
Like esurence instead of Insurance or Ipod, for example.
And most people looking for branding domains only want coms
6 letters or less..

I'm sitting on mine also, have close to 100 LLLL coms and another
50 or so that have a # like 2Tuf (To Tuff) or 1Buc (One Buck)
Also have a few 3 Charactor coms..

Hell 6 months ago I was buying LLLL coms for 10-15 bucks on boards.
Once that last one was sold the prices went to the moon.

decent money for those names. How much does lower quality 4letter names go for? I mean names like gbds dot com or wqhz dot com

lower quality names go for around 75.00 range, all premium letters go for around 250.00 and above ..
