Lists of expired/expiring domains

Where do you all find them? I was using exxxpired.com, but it seems the site is no longer available

Not many people give their little secret places on the boards....... it took me time to find good places to check, and I like it when I get all these domains, and they are still there waiting for me.

I just do not want to sound greedy, but why would I tell 100s of people where to get the good domains? (and not get any of them)

I have to admit I'm getting to where I agree with Globo. Forget about tube sites as threats.....every one of you is a threat to me as a webmaster when it comes to snatching my domains before I do.

ya, it took me almost a year of snooping for domains before i found myself a good way to hunt for domains, and at this point even the outlets i use are getting to be quite competitive. don't mean to be a dick, but i can't point you in any particular direction, just keeping trying everything you find until you find a solution that works for you.

and Badwolf, I would not intentionally steal domains from others. Just pisses them off and makes for bad relationships...

No, I meant that I consider the domains I want mine even if they were registered ten years ago. How dare someone else take my great domain before I even thought of it!

If it makes you feel any better I don't know any good places to get dropped domains either.

There's always the question of the history of the dropped domain, in my mind. I'm too lazy to research all those domains when I can find good ones in about 5 minutes myself.

i was wondering this too. Ie. how do sites like exxxpired.com and justdropped.com get their lists of expired domains ? Do they have their own crawler? Even thought about this too, but many whois domains have a limit of 100 or 1000 lookups a day. So that cannot be the way you can build a proper expired domain list. Where do you get you 'source' list from ? Do companies like goddady or even icann provide you those lists ?

The official domain organisations like ICCAN licence access to their databases to companies, so any company that has a reason to can buy a licence to access the database, so they actually access the information direct from the domain organisation.
