I just saw that in name.com the price per domain is $5.99 or something like that...

anyone has any experience with this company?

Why use either one? As far as saving a dollar goes is that all the
domain is worth?
Why not reg is with HB?

2 resons:

1. it's not saving $1, it's a lot more, since godaddy charge around $8 for the private reg (renewal)
2. I have had enough of godaddy's games...

It's your Domain, not sure what ya mean tho by GoDaddys games?

I think the domains are pretty cheap at 1&1 also, And you could have
saved even more at RegisterFly last year at this time.

If the domain doesn't mean anything to you and you're not going
to put any work in it you can Reg it anywhere..

I guess the point I was trying to make is the domain is worth something
to you or you wouldn't reg it.
I've had domains in more than 60 different registrars in the last 4 years and some are a real nightmare.
The reason I had that many different ones was buying D's on Ebay, DNforum ect I had to get accounts
to have them pushed to me.
That's why now I use 4 Registrars that I trust and that'll be around
tomorrow and I can call on the phone when needed.
They're GoDaddy, Moniker, Netsol and Domainsite.com.
If I buy a D from someone and it's somewheres else if I don't sell it by expiration I transfer it to GD or Moniker.
If I've learned 1 thing it's most of the resellers try to get away with as
much as they can and then some.

Name.com is OK, I had a small issue in December 07 but they dealt with it. I like to use phone support (They're on MST) and their support hours are quite limited.

Name.com/DomainSite.com = same same
Both are separate ICANN accredited Registrars

Yep, I would be the one that trusted namecheap. Lets just say that since Thursday I have been having one problem after another with good old namecheap and am now looking for a new place to move my domains. And word of warning; Namecheap does not have phone support. So if you have a problem you get to play email tag of submit a ticket. And let me just tell you that submitting a ticket is even slower then the damn email tag!

i have one domain with them, so far so good, i just dont like their freebies about google pack. yeah private whois is free same as namecheap!

well, fact is that they are $2-$3 cheaper than most registrars... when you have more than 200 domains this starts to be relevant

Yup, good people, good service, good reputation.

Actually Toker they screwed up some whois info from some domains I bought from you. According to all Registry and Registrar records you were the new owner.

And, at the very same time, their registry interface had "technical difficulties" for a few days spread over a 2 week period. Every time I tried to renew some domains the damn interface would fail. I (they) ended up renewing some after the exp date.

Just a small glitch and they dealt with it providing excellent customer service.
