Thinking of selling eroticartistworkshop.com

This is a domain I bought a couple of years ago, I tried to set it up as a collaborative blog for adult artists since they're always being chased out of places like deviantart for posting porn... the community never did quite take off and they don't seem to be willing to use the site so I was wondering if it might have any resale value.

I'm not thinking of selling just yet, but I was wondering if I could get a friendly appraisal, is the domain worth anything?

Dunno about the value of the domain, but I would certainly like to find a community like that for photography and videography. I've been on a few mainstream sites but I never mention what I do... when searching their archives I find things like "We don't normally mix with the sticky keyboard set."

In my humble opinion just as a domain name, prolly not really worth anything in my eyes, but like always thats just my criteria, and maybe the right person will see some value in it that I don't.

Yeah, probably not, if the community had taken off it might be worth something, but then again if it had I wouldn't be thinking of getting rid of it.

Yes, I think that might work well. I would certainly join such a community. I suppose that one problem is getting adult photographers there, most boards have a few but most boards also won't look kindly upon spamming something that might be seen as taking away their members.

I know here, and jbm, both have photography sections. But mostly these are "look at these latest pictures" sort of things, and few offer real value for discussing and critiquing different techniques. So, mostly I look for info at mainstream boards where I feel I can never post pics or sample video, because even the non-nude intro stuff would lead to obvious questions and being run out.

Yeah, it's been like that. The site had a ready made community that was languishing in a elistas.com mailing list, I offered them this alternative but they didn't go for it, and moved to google groups instead.

Oh well! Can't win 'em all.

Of course do feel free to post if you want, it'd be nice to see some activity, and you can put a link to your site if you want
