Yeah I think that they are good names and any good name is just worth reg fee but is worth millions to the person who thinks its worth millions.
They are brandable in my opinion and will start developing them after my current projects are over. Also they are sensible for future sale purpose unlike something like: live--sex--on-acamera.com which is great from spam - hope that is not someones website, lol! |

Hi thanks for the reply - but I do feel it is a bit cliche. A dropped domain does not really mean a bad domain since I have seen some really hot domains drop and get picked up by other and some by fluke I happen to search for that other people have been holding for 5 years and now I hold. "The truth is if it had any great value someone would have snapped it up." - not really, I obviously see some potential in the domains and it has worked in my fortune that they were available. BTW - where did you get the info that they were dropped? I hope more good domains drop so that I can hold them and I wish I had used the backorder system on a £5000 domain that had dropped recently that someone else has now got. My recent purchase is: hardlickher(dot)com as in hard liqueur - what do you reckon of this one? Last edited by badmaash : 06-14-2008 at 05:55 AM. |

badmaash - You said yourself that it was dropped for three months before you snapped it up. With the likes of Snapnames and other dropped name sellers what I was trying to say is with all the attention of being an expired IF it were worth a lot more then it would not have sat there doing nothing for these three months.
Secondary buyers receive lists of names soon to expire, there really is no luck in buying an expired name, if it is valuable someone will know about it. While I agree some great names get snapped up that expire they rarely go for reg fee and I would doubt unheard of being dropped and just sat there for 3 months before someone realised. Just my opinions though which are worthless ![]() As for your most recent name, honestly, if I had seen that for registration today it would have still been for registration tomorrow. You are relying on type in typo traffic Seo Book Keyword Suggestion Tool see for yourself how many people search for that and you will see a big fat ZERO ![]() __________________

I do not think that the value of a domain should be based on keywords in domain and how many people are searching for those keywords. Sure they will make a good domain but a non-keyword domain that is brandable with the correct marketing can be worth a lot more just like that! Its like I remembered the name netpond more easily than this other board name that I had to force my self to remember and now have not really visited again. I did not type in net or pond to find this forum but something else - I am sure the domain netpond is worth a bit since a lot of poeple knwo about it. Branding - Just my 2 pence worth. |
