.us trash or what?

Is the reason .us isn't taken in most cases cause the u.s. uses .com? I mean I've found some quality domain names with a .us at the end and I'm kinda hesitant to jump on them just being that alot of my queries come up with the same results....us available but the rest taken.....blah if anyone has 2 or 3 cents..I'll give you a gum ball

the .us extension is ok for generic mainstream dn`s but for adult I would suggest .com, .net

hmm Ic, I bought a domain name pornpost.us the other day seeing it was the only one available. I also notticed on sedo that people we're trying to sell pornpost.de for 4000 euro and pornpost.mobi for 9000 us...Do you think pornpost.us is worth more than a few twenties?

The problem with buying .anything besides .com is the perceived fear that you will loose traffic to the .com version of your site because it is so natural for people to type .com after a URL. if you can find a .something site that fits and is marketable then you have a winner...think fishing.net.

It all depends on the end user with domains like this. If someone is willing to pay a lot for it then you can sell it for a lot.

As far as I know only US residents or companies in the US have a right to own us domains. So they are not very interesting for an international audience.

When I try to upload images for some forums i usually type imageshack.com (instead of .us).

But still, imageshack is pretty successful and popular site, despite having an US domain..
