how much is your domain worth????

some newbie Q.
when selling domain name how do you found how much is that domain worth???do U go like when selling site,asking price=18 months of income of that site or amount of traffic,....???
please can someone explaine a bit this cause I will prolly put some nice domains for sale.

hmmm domain has nothing to do with site on it. One thing is selling site and one is selling just domain

Selling a site seems to be 3 months income for adult, and 18 months for mainstream, but it depends on the expected rate of decay for the traffic.

Name values are much harder. There are so many potential adult names that they aren't worth very much unless they are spectacular. You need to wait until someone wants to start a niche site and has got the money if you want to get a good price. Alternatively, you can put a load of FHGs on it and sell it on Ebay to a guy with porn ambitions.

I just opened an Ebay account to get rid of some of my porn domains lol, nobody on Sedo seems to bite, maybe some idiot on Ebay will

You can't just sell a name on Ebay, well you can, but it doesn't fetch much money.
You seem to do better by putting together a site with FHGs and selling the whole thing. Get the buyer to sign up with your refs, and you could get a continuing income.

Not that I approve 'cos the buyer will probably end up on Netpond with everyone telling him he was ripped off.
