Yahoo Sells Domains

Guys, I just saw where yahoo is offering domains for $4.95 a year. Wow that's even cheaper than what I get through The Planet. If your going domain shopping you may want to check it out.

I'm not sure I'd trust yahoo as a registrar, I've heard stories of unresponsiveness....

There have been a few threads about this. If I remember correctly it's linked to their hosting, and there are some restrictions on the name. I think you can get away with one name at that price, and that's about all. You should also check the renewal cost for the domain.

As Iggy pointed out, they are paying $6 for the registration, and they will make up the shortfall in some way.

yahoo is cheap but it sucks sometimes. they register domains too slow...

also i think they will want high price for renewal...

i registered a domain with them last week and be sure it is very hard to set up DNS Settings with them .
After mailing them 3 days they helped me changing my DNS Settings but the Domain still isnt responding

cno domains are $8.95 (or 895 points) for a domain year. You get individual password access for each domain, so you can buy them for friends, and you get account management to keep overall control of all your domains.

You get a bunch of other things as well like free DNS management.

One of my hosting clients came to me with a domain from yahoo.com. At first I thought, wtf yahoo sells domains? Then I checked it out and cannot find any damn way to manage his domain account to point it to my name servers.

Anyone actually successfuly used them?

after one week my registered Domain at yahoo still isnt connected
