few questions, need answer asap :)

As I said before I know practicly nothing about domains and more I read more complicated it gets, so please don't mind if questions are stupid

1. Ok first question is:
On whois.sc I see this for one domain I would like to have:

Created: 1995-09-05
Expires: 2005-09-04
Status: REGISTRAR-LOCK

How soon could I get this domain if no one else wants to renew/register it?

2. Same question like above.
Created: 1994-06-30
Expires: 2005-11-02
Status: REGISTRAR-LOCK

3. I wanna register domain for upcoming movie that will for sure be huge (there will be video game also and stuff) but all I have on "menu" is .org .info .biz .us and I'll have to use - . All other TLDs (with or without dash) are registered but only .com without dash is about movie and I think owners of other domains won't change their sites as those are developed.
I was thinking about developing site with adsense (or was it adwords) ads and maybe I would just resell domain(s) to someone who knows how to actually develop it.
Question is which one of available extensions would be best choice. (I'm thinking .info as it will contain info but do people like .info more than .org or .biz?).

I need these answered before someone else gets domain(s). Thanks

For 1 :

Don't count on that 'Expires' date ,maybe they ,or their host(ing), take care of that, look at date's (last changed etc), if the site update's often, I'm sure they won't let that domain drop .

For 2 : see ^^^^ (yes I'm lazy)

For 3 : look further ,think other keywords, or add one ...

It's not adult movie. It's mainstream "Hollywood" movie and I really think it will be successful and huge but it's new and there is no much info yet
No offense Red but there may be those that can't wait to "steal" idea (I'm not saying it's you ) and some of them already have tons of successful sites but don't really care about this boards slogan
So it's two words movie title as I said all movietitle.tld are taken but only .com is about movie (and game ) but only movie-title.com and .net are taken (none is about movie). I also checked movietitlemovie.com and .net and these are taken and it's about movie ... movietitlegame.com is also taken but other tlds are not So I'm clueles what to do as I don't have money to get bunch of domains, just one (or maybe 2).
On overture it shows 40k searches for movie title and it should be more and more

I think you've missed the boat, and I'd leave the biz and info etc. names alone.

What about the lead character - any chance of getting that in a com (the character and not the actor).

Domains are parked at dotster.com for about a year now

Why do you think you're making a fool of yourself, if you don't try, you don't achieve. You can track it with whois.sc, and you can always try an offer. Maybe I'll offer $5,000 and be prepared to buy at $10,000. They can ignore me if they don't like it.

You can back order that domain. But it may not expire on the given date if they renew it. You may also try to contact them do a bargain for the domain. The TLD .info is getting more popular these days, I guess

Hehe, I'm not really someone who could bargain, most I can offer for some domain is $10 (for now). I hope in future things will change for me

'Cause I obviesly don't know much about domains and I'm trying to get "six figure" domain without even knowing that. I would probably buy it for $8 and try to develop it for adsense or resell it for something like $100 But I think I get the picture now

Don't put yourself down Ugly - at least your trying. Keep at it and you will get lucky a few times. Just make sure that any domains you register can earn their keep.
