Redemption period
DumboJumbo strikes again
 I have a domain that I forgot to renew in time and now I'm told there's a $150 fee? WTF??? http://domreg.indosite.com/redemption_period.html Anything I can do to get around this and just renew it? __________________

Nope - you have to redeem through the current registrar, and he sets the fee.
Take care that it isn't in a pseudo-redemption so that it will never drop, but will be sold at the end of the period. I do this with some domains, but I only charge $25 to redeem. __________________

Hmm, it's registered with CWnic. I tried transferring it to buyany before it expired but it was too late to do that and then I totally forgot about it
CWnic is looking into it, I would hate to lose that domain (or pay 150 fucking dollars!!!) __________________

Fuck me!!! I got my domain back but it cost me $90
Next time I'll keep an eye open on my expiring domains  __________________

Yeah, first they told me $150, I got it back for $90 and that includes a 1 yr renewal
I still feel like an idiot (a ripped off idiot lol) All my expiring domains will be transferred to buy any in time from now on  __________________
