Minimum type-in traffic for you to buy a domain?

If you were buying a domain primarily for type-in traffic, and you were guessing based on overture searches how many type-in's you'd get, how many would there have to be for you to buy it?

Like let's say you were using the digitalpoint tool...if your domain name had 20 overture searches a day, and you felt it would convert well, would you buy it? I know that's not much to go on and you factor in other things, but as a general rule?

Remember that SE string counts are SE counts and not type-in projections. It's a guide, but people type random(ish) sequences of words in the search boxes - type-ins are more structured. For example the SEs could get "boobs big hot" because the surfers wants to give priority to "boobs", but if he's trying a type-in, he'll go for www.BigHotBoobs.com

thanks...yeah i bought a domain tonight and made sure that it made logical sense when typed in (i.e. not bigboobhotmoviedownload.com ..but more like bighotboobs.com)....it was that logical-sense-structured version of the keyword that had the traffic estimate btw.

the problem i had was guessing at how many type-ins i'd get, using the 24 hour search estimate in wordtracker...previously i've only bought domains geared for type-in traffic based on misspellings, not more general keywords.

i'm going to play around and link to it, try to get it some Google traffic too

Even if it does get loads of type-ins, the a bit of extra traffic from Google will be handy.

It's also worth watching your server stats to see if there are any old links still sending traffic. You can either send these to a custom 404 page, or build a specific page if you think it's worth it.
