I currently use DirectNic for my domain name registration. Should I use more than 1 registration service? What other companies out there are loyal like DirectNic is and won't scam you? I see www.domains-4-u.com but I wan't to find a reputable service.

I'm not sure there is such a thing as a "reputable" registration service - it's a low margin, high risk business, so companies are always trying to squeeze a bit of extra profit. Certainly some are less disreputable than others, and get their extras from selling added value services to the basic registration. Things to watch out for are -
- extra charges for basic features like domain locking. - seizing domains just before expiry and running them through a false redemption - blocking registrar transfers - seizing domains for alleged offences like spamming - adding taxes and ICANN charges to the advertised sale price and some other tricks that are going on atm __________________
