.com/.net. reg problems tonight
If anyone has been trying to register .com or .net domains, I just read this:
"Verisign registry is now experiencing an unexpected system outage which will result in operation failure for .com/.net domain. We will inform you upon any update about the outage. Please contact us for any problem occurring during this outage period, we will try every attempt to solve it upon system recovery." has anyone heard anything about this? |

No not with 'Verisign registry' , but once with my registery ,
they had a major ddos ,got a nice mail (why they where down) , and the next day ; nomore problems. __________________

Verisign maintains the .com and .net central registry and processes all .com and .net names no matter who your registrar is:
http://www.verisign.com/products-ser...try/index.html But I just called GoDaddy and they said Verisign is doing maintenance tonight, should be done within the next few hours. |

Strange, I just regged a .com and it's online now ,dns etc = ok

Looks as if there are still intermittent problems. I can reg domains via a direct link, so if anyone still can't grab the name they want - send me a pm.
