Domain name registration and renewal spam warning
I thaught my actual e-mail spam was bad but this actual company thaught it would be good to send ma a letter for renewing a domain that expires may next year
what fucks me off the most is they actualy sent it to my home address i have never been near thier site and am not thinking of changing registrar as my actual registrar has one of the best services i have ever found so they have my name and full address i wonder what else they have on me ? |

It'll be the domain registry of America. They get your details from the whois for your domain, and then they send you a letter that looks like an invoice or some official notice. They've already been prosecuted a few times, but they just seem to change the format of the letter slightly and come back. They're parasites feeding on people that are new to the net, or company execs that just sign the form and send it off.
The best thing you can do is to send the letter off to the trading standards authority with a formal complaint. Their renewal fee is pretty steep if you look in the letter. __________________
