I really need a rant here!

I finally got the idea of the new domain and the site i should run. The domain was available . lustconfess.com

I was surprised to see it was still available . And i fund my account at registerfly with $10 and went to register. The order just never processed . So i tried many times. Also my account balance at registerfly is not correct . I contacted their support people but NO RESPONDSE. Then i went to godaddy. com and GUESS WHAT!!!! lustconfess.com is no longer available. I'M SURE the guy used domain popularity tool and SAW my search results cos everytime i try to process the order i have to search it again !!! DAMN....My domain's gone. oooooooopssss..not mine !!! Registerfly and that guy simply stole it !!!!!

I don't know if registerfly does this, but some registrars use a cached list to check for availability. You find out if it's really available when you've funded your a/c and try to register. This saves them having to pay for a realtime service. I register quite a few names, so I prefer to prefund my account and try a bulk registration, that way it doesn't matter if some of them fail.

Another way of losing a name you've found is to talk about it on the boards before you've registered it.

i'm sure it's available cos i checked both on godaddy and registefly. I just didnt have an account at godaddy so i think i'd better stick on registerfly ..damn my bad.

Check to see if registerfly did register the name for you. It looks as if they've got problems with their whois server (they're an enom reseller btw), and they may have reg'd it but not allocated it to your account yet.

I've got the register is failed mail many times after i processed my oder there. Yeah..they really have problems yesterday even the site was down for a while .. i was just bad luck i think. =(

I have orders filled then later cancelled because of an "error" stating the domain was already taken. This has happened with GoDaddy on more then once occasion.

It looks as if registerfly have moved it into a default profile. This could mean they reg'd it and don't know who they did it for. I'd write to them and ask for it to be moved into your account. The alternative is to watch it in case they delete it in a day or so.

I think their system screwed up rather than someone grabbed it from you.
