The reverse hijack scam
I've seen an increasing number of reports of domain owners being threatened with legal action over their names. It seems that some companies think they can take over an established domain without having to pay for it - all they have to do is to send a heavy threatening legal letter. Often this doesn't even come from a solicitor. Check to see if their trademark was registered after your domain, and check to see if it is applicable in your market. Don't give in instantly, and remember that if they lose their case against you, it can give them a record of reverse hijacking, and any future cased could be seen as started in bad faith.

I started this thread because of the one in the main forum.
Will you be able to give us a summary of the situation at some stage in the future? __________________
