Registerfly support lol

So i wake up to a domain ive owned for a while to point it to dreamhost so i log in to registerfly and see its locked.

So ok its locked no big deal , so i send off a support ticket and state my domain is locked can you please unlock it, ive had to do this before and it was fine unlocked in minutes.

So i get this reply. Can anyone make sense ?

Hello,

I can see that this domain is on kept on hold by registry.

Kindly try to go through after some time.

Check to see that it hasn't expired. They're still screwing up badly on renewals.

I keep using them cause thats handy for me. I have over $3000 in my registerfly account.

Domain is owned for 2 more years @ Headboy so its not a renewal error.

Damn sometimes i dont understand support.

REGISTERFLY = USELESS

You have to unlock the domain..
Log in then go to Manage Acount

Then click on MANAGE DOMAINS and get them up
Go down and click on ALL Domains

Go down to the Domain ya want unlocked and X the box to it's left
then click on the domain name.

When it opens click on Domain Lock on the right and it'll open a status box.
LOCK will have a check in it, uncheck it and click update
It'll take effect in a few minutes..
You're done and the Domain is unlocked..

If you just want to change your ns1 & ns2 to point somewheres else
you don't have to unlock it to do it.
Instead of clicking on Domain lock click on on CHANGE NAMESERVERS
Delete the ones in there by default and add your NS!. & NS2. to
where ya want them pointed..
Click Update and ya done..

Good Luck but it's easy.

I appreciate the step by step but i tried that first thing i did was that.

But it still always reverts to locked. I cant move it it comes with errors. Because its locked by the registrar. When i try to unlock it it just reverts back to locked when i click ok

Tried that for days. There support sucks and i dont even understand them half the time lol

Did ya try changing your NameServer with it locked?
I do it all the time there..
PS, Saying their support sucks is being nice to them..

Tried everything mate, cant move nameserver nothing always says registrar connection error loadsa weird errors.

Happened before on other domains but support where fast and unlocked them and blamed themselves for error but this time i seem to get a drunk or high tech staff lmao

There's a new three tier locking system for names that's being implemented by Verisign. It's giving me a few problems at the moment, and not all registrars seem to be implementing it to the same standard.

agh how did you end up with 3k in registerfly? YOu mean in registered domains or unused credit? I had a dozen domains with them and moved them all out half a year ago, they suck balls and probably are stiffing you by double charging domain renewals.

In unused cash, because i have an affiliate program who pays via egold, and i drop it in there because im a domain buyingAHOLIC lol

Jesus, I'd spend it all on 10+ year renewals on all your domains and start moving them out of there, I even see threads complaining about them in surfer forums, they seriously suck.

(Because there's no way they are going to give you that cash back, I think... at least by registering they have to spend their own money on registrations but right now all that cash is pure profit for them)

I have over 1200 at RegFly also but get around most of the probs
so far as transfering them out of there I transfered 2 this week to someone
on this board..
By the way if you have 100 or more domains I can set you up to get 7 dollar and some change Registration, renewls or transfers at NetSol..

You have the mod here also what's his name who registers domains???

HB should be able to correct me if I'm wrong but "Domain Locked By Registra"
doesn't mean you can't change any info or sell it, just means it can't be moved to
another registra and that lasts for 60 days or so after it's first reg'd and is an ICANN rule.
