I'm going to manage a Euro millions lottery syndicate for the domain forum.

You can purchase a share for 30 points, and the maximum number of shares you can buy is 3. I will start off by purchasing 3 shares, and I will also purchase any shares needed to complete the purchase of the final ticket. Membership will close at midday on Thursday next, and I will purchase the final ticket(s) then. All points must have been donated to me by the closing time to retain your membership of the syndicate.

All winning will be placed into a pool, and will be distributed in proportion to the number of shares owned by syndicate members. Any winning with a value of less than $10 will be paid in Netpond points.

I'm open to suggestions as to how the numbers will be chosen.

I'm also aware that I may be hit by currency fluctuations and exchange rates, so I will have to add the following cautionary note.

The 30 points donation has a monetary value of 15 pence, and represents one tenth of the purchase price of a ticket. If the total winnings exceed £100, then payments in currencies other than sterling will be calculated with reference to the exchange rate at the time I receive the winnings.

Have you got any ideas on the best way to select them? I can always try lucky dip, but I don't feel that they give you the best ones that way.

I guess it's time to take a head count, The number represents the number of shares purchased. It takes 10 shares to pay for one ticket (£1.50), so we'll need 2 tickets to cover the current purchases. lmk if I've made any mistakes.

I'm going to close this at two lines, that's 20 shares and we've got 18 shares paid for. I'll buy the ticket tomorrow morning, and let everybody know the numbers. If nobody grabs the last two shares before it closes, then I'll pick them up. The last two shares cost 60 points, so there is just time for a late comer to join us.

If anyone has any ideas about choosing the numbers, then please let me know. Failing that, I'll choose them.

Syndicate members having paid for shares in these tickets are entitled to one twentieth of the total winnings for each share purchased. The full paid shares purchased are listed in the post above,

It looks as if we have a winning ticket, and I calculate the prize to be 66 points per share. I'll confirm this today and make the donations.

It's also yet another rollover, so I think I'll buy some more tickets this week. lmk if any of you want to stay in it.
