How do you go about getting images for banners anyway? I don't really want to buy content just to make banners.

I usually just ask my sponsor if I can use some content, make sure that they are featured on the site.

For some of my sites I have content that I have purchased site specific and then I just use my own.

That's what I thought. It use to be that sponsors wouldn't allow this unless you were only promoting their site on your blog or site but I suspect many are willing to work with you these days.
