Note: With a little common sense this can be applied to any type of affiliate program or even "Made for Adsense" sites.

What is ClickBank:

ClickBank is an affiliate program which stocks thousands of non-tangible products like eBooks and software. You get paid per sale and can make around $10 - $30 a sale depending what you sell (some more, some less). (sign up here).

Here is a very simple process to make money with ClickBank sites:


The first Steps:


1. Sign up to ClickBank

2. Take a look through the ClickBank marketplace and choose some products that you like the look of and think will sell well. A good product you could try is PCShowBuzz which is software which provides access to Internet TV.

3. Buy a decent domain name (I recommend namecheap as a registrar) and use this to sell your ClickBank product. Set up hosting etc…

4. Create a webpage that is simple but looks good. Advertise one or two similar ClickBank products on this web page. Write it out as a review which recommends the products and PRESELL the product to your surfer. Then provide a clear and enticing link to take the surfer to the product page e.g. "Click Here to get unlimited Free TV with PCShowBuzz."

5. If you want put a little bit of Adsense on there, but not much as you don't want to distract the user from what you are selling.

6. Remember people will read what you write so you need to PRESELL the product and make it sound good without making it sound like a sales pitch, but more of a recommendation.

7. Now that you have your website you need traffic.


Getting Traffic


1. First Try Adwords or something similar. Don't pay more that $0.10 a click and preferably pay $0.05. Don't worry about getting huge traffic get small amount of targeted traffic.

2. Bid on very specific terms such as "Cheap Television Shows" or similar. Don't choose something like "TV".

3. Start off very slow and over time add more keywords and drop some until you get the traffic which results in the most sales.

If you have done this right you should be getting regular sales (maybe 1 a day).

Now REPEAT a few more times for similar or different products until you have a decent amount of websites (say 10-20). Once you get good you should be able to make 2-3 of these websites a day, if not more.


The Next Step… Search Engines


Now that you have a few sites earning a little bit each day start concentrating on developing search engine traffic. This takes longer but is worthwhile.

Search engines feed off inbound links – the more quality inbound links you have that contain your keywords, or are on pages with keywords you are targeting, the better rankings you will get for keywords you target.

Here are a few tips (useful for any website).

1. Buy a few permanent quality inbound links from somewhere (I'm selling some on a PR5 blog here).

Focus on quality links rather than links from crappy websites. Don't stress too much about PR, more that the website is quality and has good inbound links (use yahoo explorer to check). Buying permanent links is cheaper than paying for links on a monthly basis. Try to get your inbound links within a sentence or within content if you can.

For example: More information than you can handle.

Looking "natural" to the search engines is the key to success!

2. Submit your websites to free directories. The best list of free directories is WITHOUT A DOUBT Vilesilener. See list here (excel spreadsheet. This list only contains Directories which will benefit you in the search engines, do not require reciprocal links and are completely free.

There are about 400 directories in the Vilesilencer list so you will get you lots of inbound links. The are not amazing quality but they do help kick start your site, and if you come to selling link spots later it makes the number of links coming to your website a lot higher. Google itself recommends submission to web directories.

If you wish I do offer submissions of your website to the directories in the Vilesilencer list for $140 and provide you with screenshots of all submissions done – all submissions are done by hand – not automated. Just PM me for details.

3. Make a Squidoo page and a HubPage to get free inbound links from a high PR website. You will need to point a link or two your Squidoo/HubPages yourself to help it out a bit.

4. If you know other webmasters or feel like hunting them out, try trading some links with them. Don't do direct recips where possible but do 3-way trades Site A -> Site B -> Site C. – Remember to trade with quality sites that aren't spammy looking.

5. Why not interlink your network a bit. Don't overdo it because search engines frown upon it but doing it a little bit can help you out.

6. Research your own link building techniques.

Over time you will now get regular targeted traffic to all your websites from search engines. It can take a long time to build good search engine traffic but stick at it and keep building more sites and getting more inbound links.


Extend your network and build a Beasty big website


1. Keep extending your network by making more sites, but instead of making single page websites try and make them 5-10 pages big as search engines prefer this. Some pages could be heavy Adsense pages, some could be ClickBank pages. Keep to a specific niche and target specific keywords that are not too competitive. Build links and traffic to these sites as above.

2. Make a blog and use it to feed your ClickBank websites (e.g post about a click bank product) by creating short articles that link to your websites and ClickBank products. Don't worry too much about quality just get some content in there, spend maybe 10mins a post once a day.

3. Build a BIG website that is a directory of ClickBank products and make a page for all the good ClickBank products. It's your own eCommerce store except you don’t have to sell the products yourself. Build links and traffic to it as above.

Once you are done with doing all this you will have a very steady income and a big network of websites. It is that simple – just requires hard work.
