What helps to get more clicks on google? What people like to visit?

adwords or search engine top listed site.... if adwords then use the same word they are searching for, also check with yourself, what you look for when you search the same word in google, if it is search engine top listed site, then add more good content....

For adsense, technology keywords payout more than others, or so I've always been told.

not only the keywords, the origin of the ip (country) is important too.
USA, EUROPE, AUSTRALIA, etc.. have better payout per click than latin america, africa or asia.
