Is Aga really Little Buddha?

Need your opinion please
I'm working for an old client, a new website for yacht charter in Croatia. Company have 7 categories of boats(sailboats, catamarans, motor boats...) and every category have between 15-450 models of boats.
Every single boat have own page(landing page) with all info about the boat and booking request form. There is also a simple navigation which leads to other boats in selected category. Our traffic is highly targeted and comes from search engines and 80% of visitors come directly to the landing page of searched model of boat. Important: 99% of visitors(not surfers who browse site for pic and tech info) who are interested in offer from one category are not interested in any other categories of boats. Question is: should we put on that page(landing page), links to other categories? -if we don't put links to other categories, we will keep a potential client inside category of his primary interest and lead him to our goal to send us booking request -if we put links to other categories, we will probably distract potential client and lead him to other parts of site which he has no interest and loose him, but on the other hand visitor can see how wide our offer is and how serious our company is. Generally, the owner and I are against putting links to other parts of the site but interviewing our friends analyzing other mayor sites in tourism we are thinking that maybe we are wrong... So if you are experienced marketer please tell me your opinion about this issue. Thank you! __________________

Maybe the best and the easiest way would be to have only link to Homepage... that's way you don't distract your visitors and you still give them option to check other parts of your site if they want it...

i would say categories on main page
you never know someone might be interested in a higher categorie because they didnt find what they wanted on the one thay landed on the opposit might also happen but a sale is a sale would you rather loose a potential client or sell them something even of less value |

trough SE he is in search of that specific model, or maybe some other similar sailing boat to rent and he is not interested in any other type of boats coz he is a sailor and don't wanna book motor boat for example. These conclusions are from years of tracking visitors and bookings. I really want someone to convince me why should we put other links to that pages ![]() __________________

well as it happens thats exactly where i work in my full time job
and i can say some people just don't have the money and as you said similar sailing boats so a client able to find what he wants in his price range is a client and he might pay for something he didn't want in the begining everyone can look for a new car and want a rolls royce, mercedes, porche or bmw but can we pay for it ? |
