Hi Guys

I am planning on developing both mainstream and adult "properties" and was wondering how people that do both split their time between the two, and what have they found to be most profitable. Diversifying just seems like good sense, and I have a number of properties (blogs, sites, lenses/hubs etc) I'd live to develop in each.

Also, what do you see the most revenue from, what is your 80/20?

I don't split that. I just simply work on adult, and sometimes a little bit for mainstream.

mainstream is harder, but much more rewarding if you want to sell your property later down the road...also you will have alot more interested buyers as you would vs an adult site.

Mainstream is so hard to generate traffic...... at least for me, because others say different...but its tough to get at least 50-100 daily visitors to your mainstream site LOL

I tend to know a lot more about adult content and generally whip out at least 10 new adult sites per day(usually 10 new blogs). Mainstream I still struggle with so I only make about 1 mainstream site per week. Time wise however I actually have a schedule:
Wake Up
2 new sites
eat breakfast
shower
5 new sites
Forums/relax/lunch
3 new sites/projects
Watch a movie and eat dinner(netflix, I get 3 movies in, burn and return so I've got a nice backlog of movies to watch)
Update/check on sites(TGP, handwritten blogs)
Then combination of forums, chat on ICQ, and slowly work on mainstream.

End goal of any day for me is to get at least 10 new adult sites out there, whether they be blogs, freesites, whatever. Any extra time I spend on my mainstream stuff. Once I'm finished with my 10 sites I consider the day over so If I don't get any other work done I'm satisfied, this gives me time to walk to the sports bar down the road and have a few brews and chat with the regulars on how their day went. Remember to go somewhere at least every other day, regardless of your schedule and how much you work, being couped up at home/office all the time will make anyone go crazy

That's a fair old schedule. My brain doesn't even wake up properly until you've finished your 5 new sites I presume your new sites are script generated / content from rss or whatever?

Well I left out the 20 some cig and coffee breaks which help wake me up nice and easy. Some blogs are script generated and hosted on my own domains. A lot are on thumblogger and xlogz. I try to make sure all of my sites are hosted accross a wide variaty of domains and ip addresses. As far as the content goes, I use multiple RSS feeds on each blog, but write a lot of sidebar text, make sure each blog has search engine terms in the domain hot-pussy-xxx.whatever.com And make sure those terms are used all over the place. So I tend to write a bunch of text on the blog itself and just use an RSS feed as a way to get some pictures on them. The majority of my traffic is SE, but I've got some tricks up my sleeve as far as what I do with the sites after I throw em up. You probably are still up before me though, I earliest I've woken up in the past week was around noon.

I'm pretty much an office-hours worker. My wife has a "real" job so I stick with her hours and I also agree with making time for other things - something I often fail but I do normally take about a week off every 6 so it evens out.
