Do a search for: AFF or All For Free - that is what mainstream dumps used to be called. But most of the ones I've tried are pretty much dead.
Tip: if they require a e-mail to submit, do NOT use your real one lol They WILL spam it to death. (You probably knew that already, but thought I'd point it out just incase)

I have dumped some non adult domains of mine to adult ld's, with so-so success.

I just dump some of mine to the adult linkdumps. Some of them even get clicked on. I've tested it out on a bunch of my hubpages, and I find that if I linkdump them to the adult dumps, they'll get picked up by Yahoo and MSN much faster than otherwise. I always wait to add adsense long after I've done the dump.

would the result better off if the FFA links just restrict to a particular theme/topic ?
thus just dump to the FFA link page of the same theme or topic, etc.

Besides, i am not sure how the search engines view on such dump pages ? double standards (adult vs non-adult) ?

Adult dumps definitely get more juice from the SEs. It must be because people actually spend time on them, surfing for porn, and since most links open in a new window or a frame, they could be spending a long time. I'm guessing that real people don't actually surf "free for all" mainstream sites.
