I need a script into which I can input Names, addresses, phone numbers, etc... (These fields should be user-definable) with several categories, that will let me pull that info to a .html page in alphabetic order. Free wpuld be great, cheep ok as well. Anyone know where to find something like this?

hi bro i m not sure with your words..
but i definately could help you out..

first you say you will input ppls name address etc..

then you say this fields should be user editable.. (u want to edit or visitors of your website)?

then with several catagories

really not understand what is this...

as long as a php script

many scripts works like

a signup page where a user signup with his data
a login page where he can login and do something

you as admin can modify the data add edit delete from admin panel

but before giving you this script urls
can you be more specific what is your website will be about.. and what relation with this datas?

Reason why i ask this..

there are many php mysql gui (graphical user interface tools)
that can create all you want with click of a button

you build forms
you make database
you assign relation with your forms to the database
you make result pages which displays what ever info you want from the database.. much like visual query..

infact all this you can do with any newer dreamweaver software .. provided that you have web server and php mysql installed in your windows (they are free and easy to install)..
