I have five different host packages, Cyberwurx and A1-Websolutions are the two I enjoy using the most, trust me, I have some Dreamhost hosting and I would only suggest you use them if I were trying to earn a $'s with referal codes. If you can accept slow loading pages and lots of down time blips then yeah, use Dreamhost

If you haven't had downtime with Dreamhost, you haven't been paying attention. They have had over 12 hours of downtime system wide in the last 30 days. If you don't believe that, check dreamhoststatus.com

I host some sites with Dreamhost, and all that space and bandwidth comes with a tradeoff.

Dreamhost has a big network. Some sites were down, others not. There was a DDos which will trouble any host.

Getting cheap hosting is not a big problem, however you need to check reliability of the host. Many cheap hosts have poor customer service and downtime. But many are good. I use a few hosts. I like namecheaphosting, but there are also other low cost ones that are good.
