Infractions is a new tool that came with new version of VBULL

When a rule is broken and discovered by myself or a mod then we can apply an infraction to you, an infraction is a certain amount of infraction (points) that gets tallyed up

in most cases nothing will happen when u recive an infraction however some things like racial hatred, sexual discrimination, repeated spamming and repeated rule breaks will incur higher infraction points,

when u go over a certain amount of points the system will impose a auto ban of 24 hours

if you have accumulated enough poiints that system has imposed a ban then you have been way out of line and ban probably well deserved.

Everything is tracked so if u recive an infraction and dont feel its warranted your welcome to PM me and i will look into it and it will either stay or i will reverse it.

things that can get infraction points will be oversized sigs, spamming, abuse, thread jacking, bumping old threads, offensive behaviour amongst other things.

Considering the nature of this board, having points subtracted through infractions would probably be more effective

most posters don't even know what "points" (the good ones) mean and what they stand for, not to mention they don't really care...
most spammers don't have much point to subtract from due to very low post count.

I think "Infractions" should be visible so it can be a visible "bad reputation" indicator.
but than again it all depends on the developers of the vBulletin® , not on Netpond.

I may be wrong about all this though...hell, I didn't even care before I saw this thread so what do I know...

You can earn an infraction or just get a friendly warning for the following reasons;
Bumping Old Threads
Oversized Sig
Thread Hijacking
Netpond Rule Abuse
Spamming

Netpond is fairly open to everything but there are a few rules that need to be followed. This being said each forum on Netpond has as well its own subject/theme discussion and its own rules for discussion threads.

Should you rceeive an infraction you will get a pm from a board administrator or moderator notifying you of such and what steps you need to take in order to stop violating those policies set in place by the owners of Netpond, "Lord Aga" & "Meat".

Infractions are added up and an accumulation of too many infractions might result in a two day ban or or in some cases... you have earned the "Weakest Link Award" which results in a complete ban forever.

Most of the times an infraction will only be a "friendly warning" and through pm`s we hope to resolve any issues or questions that you may have.

All I know is if you do preform an infraction you have to be seriously working hard to get it. NetPond and AWG (my other haunt) are the most open, laid back forums I have ever had the honor and privilege of posting on. And I applicate the privilege.

To the Owners and Mods Thank You!!! Striking the balance between ordered chaos and a free for all (which is not preferred) is not easy, as most adult webmaster boards demonstrate. I love our ordered chaos.

Your Netpond points are never taken away from you unless you have severely and blatantly screwed up.
The only person who will delete points from your account is Lord Aga or Meat.
