I have a small sponsor I've started to get payments with, they offer paypal, so far so good. But unlike all my other sponsors that pay me by paypal, I'm getting hit with transaction fees of a few dollars every payment, how do I avoid this?

I'm fairly sure it has to do with the transaction type, he must be sending me money direct from credit card or bank account instead of funding his account first, is this correct? I think if I explain it to him he'll adjust his ways.

It's means they have used a Credit Card to make payment, for large payments that is always the wisest way to do it.

However it does mean fees for the other person, in this case the affiliate.

Bank Payments do not have fees.

That's odd, he claims to be paying from paypal balance, and yet I'm still being charged fees. :/

I think he is lieing, because i only pay fees, when I get payments from credit card only

What type of account do you have. Personal, Premier or Business?

Business I think, set it up years ago and no longer use it that much.

Other sponsors pay me without fees though, so it can't be only my account.

Oh well I switched to cheque and asked him to hold them until I reach 300$, that should take care of the fees.

That explains it.

You will be charged fees on a business account.

If the program uses the Paypal masspay system then no fees are charged no matter what account someone has, that will explain why when some programs pay you, that you have no fees.
