Different Ways!
I was thinking about doing proper research on the mainstream market before I get any ideas and get too carried away...so I was wondering, what ways can one make money in mainstream without having the user to buy something from you directly?
I know we have commision junction and trade doubler to advertise...we have popups and newsletters....what else? In adult we can get paid per click or per sign up....what's mainstream's ways?  __________________

http://www.pythonmedia.com/ is very similar to the adult sponsors (it's owned by dollarmachine)
Then there's ofcourse adsense... |

cpm is your friend especially if you have tonnes of traffic.I've been using fastclick for years now and they have NEVER failed to pay on time each month. (pm me for ref link if you want to join)

oh Nicky I forgot about pay-per-lead (this in my opinion is the easiest way to make money in mainstream) especially offers where all the user is required to do is fill in their zip code and you get $$$

The most obvious, and easiest way is to allow a web advertising service to organise your ads. Google Adsense for example, just paste the code into your site and you're earning money
 I always think about banner placement before I start designing a template, just to make sure there's a space for a few common ad sizes. __________________

Check out http://www.abestweb.com for a lot of mainstream programs- that's a pretty popular site.
There are other networks besides CJ, there's also Linkshare- you can get info on all of them at that site, but definitely do your homework because they vary widely on how you get paid (one check or one for each sponsor), how honest their stats are, etc. Pulsher, pay per lead, you find a lot of mortage/credit card/debt consolidation/insurance/etc. sponsors doing that. I'm not aware of any non-finance program that does pay per lead. You see a lot of people making those sort of portals on the abestweb and geekvillage forums. slaxxx |

Ok,these are the companies I use to make $$$ in mainstream..they've worked for me for years so they should work for you as well
PAds Mbounty the above 2 are pay-per-lead Ppup ^^pays for pop-ups and pop unders and they introduced banners (CPM) Fclick ^^ pays for banners (CPM) __________________
