Ringtones idea?

Hi!

How many of you own a ringtone site? Since i just started, i'm looking for ways to promote it. Would it be nice if we all trade links for our sites? That could start us with some good traffic, wouldn't it? Or don't you want to have links to other ringtone sites? Pulsher and i could even build a simple script for it, so we can have 1 database with all ringtone links and you then can put it up your site. I think that would be nice. What do you think?

I don't mind if you think this idea is crap, just say what you think!!!

It will be an idea - if the ringtone site tutorial get's off the ground I would already build a toplist and exchange links with everyone, so this will probably happen

Welll i think there should be rules. It would not be fair if somebody has a site with traffic and puts the links on the frontpage and some other webmaster with no traffic has the links somewhere hidden on the site. Personally i think we should put the links on the frontpage in a nice table at the bottom.

Be careful of putting too much clutter on your front page - if it looks like your main objective is just SEO, your site will attract lots of other site owners sure, who all want to leach off your PR and increase their IBL counts ... but you will scare off alot of potential sales because your site is a link farm ...

Every ringtone-related site should have a SEPARATE links page where you can add an ∞ number of links over time without cluttering your main page. my goal is to have THOUSANDS of IBLs over time on every site ..... I am not going to put that on my front page ...

I also do not think it is fair for a site with 10K daily uniques to have to leak traffic from their main page to sites that they will not get anywhere near the same amount of traffic returned!

I have been doing the mobile phone sites for some time now (and I do fairly well), and this type of links page works much better! (note the keyphrase in the page name also)

) at least a dozen decent ringtone names a week ...

But seriously dude ... you can build decent traffic to ANY site ... regardless of what the domain is ...

90% or better of all website traffic is clicked traffic nowdays ... believe it!

Case in point ... My biz partner owns www.FLAMEGNO.com and sells men's health products from it .... he has ALOT of SE traffic too!

and i dont want it ending up having 10k domains at the end of the year.

OK ... here is one thing I would suggest adding to your front page (and EVERY PAGE) of your mainstream site(s).

LINK-VAULT
