A mainstream business i hiring me to build a popup.

I know there are many ways to build popup madness. Please post links to as many different kinds as possible. I'm not sure exactly what they want yet. I know I can do something simple, complicated, random...

I want to do the less amount of work for the most amount of $

In the end popups are pretty simple code and I guess these people dont even know how to set up their email... So what do you suggest?

You can ofcourse just use the <body o.n.l.o.a.d="window.open('http://www.microsoft.com/');"> way... Popups are blocked by most browsers and I think they have no feature, except for popin ads...

Can you put a form in a popup?

Anything - you can popup a page that has a form on it

Thats what I thought but wasn't sure. I hate asking stupid questions but I want to know all the answers too! So what options are there? Of course j a va s c r i p t but what else? Flash?

I once did this with two things, it worked then, but not anymore I think:

-********** is blocked by both IE & FF
-Some ********** code that did it on another way, REBEL posted it at BB, ask her for the exact code

-That only worked for FF, so I wrote some flash (don't have that anymore I think) that just called a ********** function which opened a popup, and that worked in FF

I just got a call. Apparently these guys are idiots. So I guess my new question is... Do I sell them a service and take them for as much as I can make? Or, do I do something more reasonable and spend less time on it?

There are several popup scripts, some that will beat most blockers. Just do a search on the board.
Not sure what you mean by 'popup madness' - I hope that doesn't mean popup hell lol I do best with a rotating popup. That way I can pop as many different sites I want, but still only show each surfer one.

I would suggest you imlement phpads new and do a floater... like what has been said..popups are a dying breed...

dying?? I don't think so. I sat up a few mini sites with a single enter pop and single exit. In 2 months I have quadrupled my traffic with no effort. And since I also use my own toplists in these popups, I know the traffic is productive and clicks on my trades and ads.
