SE is my main source, I use ebay auctions and My eBay store to get quite a bit, For a .25 cent auction it's cheap traffic and exposure.....also local advertising....

Buy a text link on a big site. You'll get spidered immediately. Just don't go buying 100's of text links, you'll be penalized.

But some big sites have been manually banned from giving link value away, one example, if I remember correctly is phpbb.com .
So you would have to check for that before buying one

Add a text link to a blog that's updated on a regular basis and you will probably get spidered just as quickly - at no cost (although I'll admit that buying quality text links might land you a higher initial placement, so don't discount it of course).

I have had several new domains indexed in less than 48 hours (one in around 22) by linking to them from one or two of my blogs. Those are all adult domains, but I don't see why it should be any different with mainstream.

I've said it before and I'll happily say it again - SEs eat blogs for breakfast, lunch and dinner

search engine traffic is the most productive for Us, We use what you could call "mature sites" not considered hardcore but racy enough to utilize both sides and PG sites that use Sexy content no racier than hardcopy ads in "Maxiam" which generally get us in at mainstream sites that are not disney G rated since we do not want that traffic anyway.
Years ago I found my way into the realm of hardcore from a "models" bikini of the day site which lead by way of 1-2 links to the models hardcore and it was all downhill from there. We now use that same stradegy and have for years since the adult arena is mostly seasoned or at least surfers with porn on the mind We have found that like the attention getters at the counter that you buy as you stand there waiting that surfers looking for lingerie with no attention to porn are enticed and more likely to join since they have no real exposure yet , a porn site.

on a side note...it also works the reverse....often "porn Junkies" are intriqued by other than hardcore and use or purchase products.
