a troubling revelation i had

I was on my g/f's computer and was surfing through my site and none of my Adsense boxes were showing up, at first i thought the code was messed up but then I realized that she is running the stupid Norton Internet Security program. I disabled it and adsense showed back up after I refresed a few times. Now how many kuckleheads do you suppose actually use this peice of crap program, it's got to be a good amount, i mean, the public REALLY believes in Norton... its sad >>>

I think less than 30%. I don't use norton. It is stupid program that slows my computer. I use nod32.

all these programs are based on proximitron which bloced out all the ads on a page! extremely useful program.

Make sure you have alternate ads specified its does make a diffrnce to your bottom line!

"anti-virus" is a joke.

Sure it can "protect" you from viruses that it knows about. But that's the joke, all viruses are new, either a modification of an old one or a brand new one. Norton or any other "anti-virus" cannot protect you from anything it hasn't seen before.

It's all just a marketing scheme for these companies to make big $ off stupid internet users.

I don't run any "anti-virus" programs and I've never had a crash.

wow - your computer is most likely infected then. So instead of being protected from the majority of viruses and trojans, who are known, you just don't protect yourself at all??

I used Norton before, but I never had any ads blocked out as far as I know. Or atleast I never saw empty spaces on sites lol
Is that a new feaure they've added after I removed it? Ad block?? Those programs should be grounds for a lawsuit if ya ask me!

i agree, norton has this internet security program that installs as a seperate program from from the anti-virus, so im wondering how many people use this in addition to the antivirus
