if you go there, you can see at the top of the page it has a small ad. as of now it advertises my site, but after i get a few thousand members i can replace that with some ads.

Well the more people who use it the more word of mouth advertising spreads around. Friends recommend it to friends. Folks notice the domain name, etc. I'm guessing it'll be a waiting game, though you might want to pick up some google adwords to get some base users going.

I can think of a small piece of advice I would use, it may or may not be of help to you but here,

Thinking about what you are offering, you are offering Free Redirect Service, so this is for people with Long Domains, free webhosting with there ISP etc etc, so its all about where those people would be.

A lot of freewebspace now is about as long as any url you can give, maybe only one or two folders deep like freespace.com/me or freespace.com/that/me, but if you found some little freehost with long URL you could exchange links with them.

I would think about, where are younger Generation gonna be, they are most likely to have used the Free Webspace that there mom and dad got with the Internet Package, or indeed maybe the particular ISP might have forums for the use of there webspace to deal with issues etc, of which if you posted there those are the people that would use your service.

Thats the main thing, Who is going to have a Long URL that needs your service, kids with homepage on ISP, maybe Adults just starting a HomeBasedBiz and got some stupid long url with there own page from Network Marketing company, where are people like this going to be, thats where you want your link,

yeah no doubt, i have been thinking that all along. i contacted freewebs and some others about adverts but its really expensive. i wanted to advert on angelfire and freewebs pages. i guess i need to hit up the forums now
